Delhi Polls Live - Dera Sacha Sauda to support BJP

BJP will end its campaigning by holding rallies in all the 70 constituency areas today. Delhi will go to polls on February 7. To ensure maximum seats, the BJP leadership has instructed all its candidates to hold road shows and at least one rally in each of the 70 constituencies in the National Capital, news reports said.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress candidates will organise 'padyatra' to seal the campaign which ends at 6 pm today.

A senior BJP leader said they have planned to hold rallies in all the 70 constituencies, PTI reported

A PTI report quoted him as saying, "Union Ministers and MPs have been asked to hold at least one rally in the 70 Assembly constituencies each so that people can also be wooed by the party at the last moment."

The party, which had swept all seven Delhi seats in the Lok Sabha elections last year, has instructed its seven MPs to be prominently present at the roadshows in their areas.

BJP national president Amit Shah had said that the BJP was in direct fight with Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in this Assembly elections. He also said the party would win Delhi polls as there was the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and work done by his Government.

Setting a target to win Delhi elections with two-thirds majority, BJP has fielded 120 MPs, including a number of Union Ministers.

More than 1.20 lakh booth in-charge and 'panna pramukhs' have been roped in to campaign and apprise people about BJP's plans for the city, he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had dismissed opinion polls as "lies," reminding voters that some polls had predicted he would lose in Varanasi to Kejriwal in the General Elections last year. Modi won with a huge margin.
