Delhi Polls Live - Amit Shah confident of two-thirds majority for BJP

Confident of thumping victory in upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Amit Shah in an interview on Friday said that BJP will emerge victorious with two-third majority.

He also denied reports that Delhi BJP leaders were not happy with the move to get Kiran Bedi into the fold, "In a political party, such kind of feelings cannot remain hidden, they come to surface. Today after the date of cancellation of nomination, not one candidate of BJP is standing as a rebel…top to bottom…all are one."

Meanwhile, in a major setback to Congress, party heavy weight and former Union Minister Jayanthi Natarajan has quit Congress blaming Rahul Gandhi for her decision.

In a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Natarajan has accused Rahul Gandhi of sending "specific requests" on environmental clearances for projects.

"Revelations made by Jayanthi Natarajan matter of great concern, will review those specific files," said Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar.

She also said that she had become a victim of a "vicious, false and motivated" media campaign by some individuals in the party after Rahul Gandhi shifted from his 'pro-environmental stance' to a 'corporate friendly' one during campaigning for Lok Sabha polls.
