Passing of E-Rickshaw Bill is a result of continuous effort by the Delhi BJP

New Delhi, 8th January.  Chairman of the Battery Rickshaw Welfare Association Shri Ashwani Sehgal, Treasurer Shri Pawan Kakkar joined BJP alongwith a large number of E-Rickshaw operators today in the presence of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay in a press conference organized at BJP Office today. President of the Delhi Taxi, Tourist Transporter Association Shri Sanjay Samrat and Joint Secretary Sardar Malkeet Singh also joined BJP.

 Shri Satish Upadhyay said that E-Rickshaw has become a necessity in Delhi and ban on the operation of E-Rickshaw due to technical reasons not only deprived the operators of their livelihood but also caused great inconvenienced to the people of Delhi. Delhi BJP fought for the removal of ban on it. Our Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari worked hard to solve this problem and now the Narendra Modi Government has framed appropriate law in the interest of these poor people and the people of Delhi paving the way for restarting the service of E-Rickshaw and we express our gratitude to the Government for it.

 Welcoming the Office Bearers and Members of Battery Rickshaw Welfare Association and Delhi Taxi, Tourist Transporter Association, Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay said that we hope the party will benefit with their joining and they shall provide good service to the people of Delhi.

 Clarifying the details of raids on the commercial establishments by the VAT Department during the Aam Aadmi Party rule, Satish Upadhyay said that the traders were harassed in every way during the Kejriwal regime because the data about the raids are not false. It may be mentioned that three days after the BJP raised this issue; the AAP had said that we conducted raids on the wine shops. These are the data from the VAT Department and can be verified from there. Shri Upadhyay said that these VAT raids have clearly shown that how Shri Arvind Kejriwal is trying to mislead the traders just like the common man although it had claimed of No Raids.
