NIA foils bomb attack on eve of PM's visit

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has foiled a terror plot to target the country’s top police brass meet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The NIA has foiled by recovering explosive material and powerful IEDs being transported for carrying out the attacks in Assam.

The country's top cops will be meeting over the weekend in Guwahati for the first time under the NDA government to frame a roadmap to guide the country’s internal security policy. Prime Minister Modi will chair the meeting where the top security brass, including Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be present.
