Rajnath may be Home Minister in Modi's cabinet

Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi will meet President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday and stake his claim to form the new government after the Bharatiya Janata Party’s parliamentary formally elects him as its leader.
BJP sources say that party President Rajnath Singh could be the country’s new Home Ministry, with speculation about Arun Jaitley as the new Finance Minister. Veteran Murli Manohar Joshi’s name is being mentioned for the Defence Ministry. The position of party patriarch LK Advani, more in the news for his deep sulk at Modi’s rise, remains unclear, though there has been much talk of him being given the speakership of the new Lok Sabha.
Political jockeying has been on since May 16, the day the BJP romped home in the elections with an absolute majority. The BJP has been enclosed in meeting with RSS leaders too, in which likely posts in Narendra Modi’s cabinet of ministers are being discussed. The date of Modi’s oath ceremony is also likely to be finalized in the BJP’s parliamentary board meeting.
